Tutor Chronicles Part 1

Hello everyone! Ah!  It. Feels. Soooo. Good. to be back on here! I'm sorry for the long break, unfortunately....  Life happened. But I am back now and feeling inspired and extremely blessed. So this topic is a tough one for me because I'm getting a little more personal so just bare with me. 😨 So, first a little of the backstory.  Our amazing, independent, beautiful, smart and caring daughter Delilah is a first grader now and guys let me just tell you first grade is not what it used to be. We made a terrible mistake when Delilah was three and four years old.  We did not research a preschool or day care for her to attend. And we are definitely regretting it now.  I could say we were young and inexperienced and yes, all that is true. We opted to spend our money on other things and kept her at home.  I have no doubt our daughter will overcome this hump and we sure as hell learned our lesson. I will keep you all posted on her impro...

Mediterranean Flat bread

Image
Hello! Welcome to my first recipe post!  I am so excited! Today I will be sharing my Mediterranean flat bread recipe.  Inspiration for this flat bread came from Pinterest (my favorite app on my phone). I replaced  some of the ingredients (well almost all of them actually) and paired it with a green salad. Please tag me in your pictures on instagram @thebookofval or on the comment section down below if you recreate the recipe. BTW I do most of my grocery shopping at Ralph's. If for whatever reason you can't seem to find the exact items I used remember there is nothing wrong with improvising.  Cooking is not rocket science and the best food is made with a lot of Love! Enjoy! Ingredients: 3 each- 100% Whole Wheat Pita Breads 1 cup- Roughly chopped baby Spinach 1 each- Sliced bell pepper (I used 1/2 orange 1/2 yellow to add color) Sliced red onion  (you may use as much as you'd like) 1/2 cup-Sliced Black olives 1/2 cup- Pizza Blend shredded chees...

Hello Spring! Goodbye Winter.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog.  I'm sorry for being a little M.I.A. this past couple months.I wish I had a really good excuse for not posting, but the truth is I don't have one.  I've just been busy with life... We are now entering my favorite part of the year. Not just because my birthday is in April, but I'm ready for this warmer weather! I know, I know California winter is nothing compared to the rest of the country, but this winter was tough for us! We had a whole month where temperatures did not reach over 70F. I mean sure it was February the shortest month of the year with 28 days, but still. This Cali girl isn't used to all that. On a positive note California is now drought free! Thank God for that! I will keep this blog post short and sweet because I have my first recipe to post and I am very excited for you guys to try it out.  Please follow me on Instagram @thebookofval or comment on this post if you have any questions or you sim...

Happy 2019!

Hello, and Happy New Y ear! Welcome to my blog!  Before I begin my post. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Valeria or  V al . I am married with 2 kids. I love God and this beautiful life he has provided for my family and I. I enjoy home decor, organizing, bargains, party planning, crafts, food, fitness (kinda), traveling etc... I hope to create a space where anyone that shares my same interest and is looking for help learns a few tricks. After all we are all sharing this beautiful planet. Why not try to be good to one another!   I want to dedicate my first blog post to 2018 and all it's glory! It was a year of many changes for my family and I. Well more like for the whole world. 2018 just felt like it took forever to end. Right?... Maybe it's just me... I had so many goals and dreams for 2018 and New Years eve was a funeral for most of them, but instead of feeling grief for everything I said I would do, but never got around to I was surprising...
